2016 June – LBBC Technologies host a “Meet our Suppliers day”

There was a real buzz in the air as engineers bounced around their ideas ranging from cutting edge modelling software to automated water treatment systems.  This is just the start of a program of supplier days and we look forward to further engagement with suppliers as we continue to develop the next generation of energy efficient, high performance equipment to support the ever increasing needs of our customers.”

Over the last few weeks, the New Product Development (NPD) team at LBBC Technologies hosted the first in a series of “Meet our Suppliers day” where key suppliers were invited to share their plans and in return the NPD gave an update on current development projects at LBBC and how they could collaborate with LBBC.



2016 May – LBBC Technologies attending International Festival of Business for Britain

He will be attending the half day event Made in Britain. Loved by the World’  providing an essential insight into the critical role that the UK manufacturing sector plays within the global economy. It will also provide invaluable context for many of the other events taking place during the Manufacturing Week of IFB 2016.

2016 April – LBBC Technologies has successful EICF conference

2016 March – EEF National Manufacturing Conference 2016

LBBC Technologies Managing Director, Howard Pickard attended the EEF National Manufacturing Conference at QEII Centre, London. Howard joined senior business and political leaders at Britain’s premier manufacturing event for thought-provoking keynote addresses and lively panel debates as we discuss manufacturing’s hottest topics, followed by a networking drinks reception to round off the day.

It was a banner year at the EEF National Manufacturing Conference. On 24 February 2016, over 800 manufacturing executives gathered in London to hear experts and inspirational speakers on the future of UK manufacturing.



2015 Nov – Stanningley SARLC wins promotion with LBBC Group support

LBBC Group Director, Robert Pickard said “We are proud to have been sponsors of Stanningley SARLC and congratulate them on such a successful season, we will continue to support the club who play a key role in the local community.”



It has been a huge season for the club and the play-off final was no different with the team winning in the last few seconds scoring on the final touch of the match!

Stanningley Sports and Amateur Rugby League Club (SARLC) have won promotion to division two of the NCL following the play-off final against Drighlington ARFLC on Saturday 24th October 2015.


2015 Oct – LBBC Technologies hosts Leeds Manufacturing Forum meeting on education

The meeting was held as part of the initiative led by the Leeds Manufacturing Forum to improve the engagement of pupils in secondary schools. A number of SME members of the Forum attended to see how they can assist and offer ways that the pupils can get involved. The overall initiative is to work through the education system, apprenticeships and the forthcoming UTC to increase the number entering manufacturing in the Leeds area.

LBBC Technologies also provided a tour of the design and manufacturing facilities of their new £1.5m facility.

LBBC Technologies hosted a special meeting of Leeds Manufacturing Forum with Leeds Ahead and the Council’s Education Business Partnership and teachers Katie Dye from Brigshaw High School and Bryan Pearce from Swallow Hill Community College.


2015 Oct – LBBC Technologies backdrop for Sheffield City Region devolution deal

Sheffield City Region has agreed a historic devolution deal with the government which will lead to the appointment of a directly-elected mayor who will oversee a range of devolved powers including responsibility over transport budgets; franchised bus services and strategic planning.

Couldn’t be a better back drop for the signing for Sheffield City Region devolution deal as part of the Northern Powerhouse initiative.  The deal was signed by Rt Hon George Osborne MP, Chancellor of the Exchequer at the AMRC with Boeing centre in Rotherham in front of LBBC’s Thermoclave equipment.


2015 Sept – LBBC Technologies attend Northern Powerhouse reception in Downing Street

At the reception they met with other businesses from the Northern Region and were introduced to Chancellor of the Exchequer The Rt Hon George Osborne MP.

This followed a visit by Stuart Andrew MP for Pudsey, Horsforth and Aireborough to the LBBC site in Stanningley, Leeds to see the new facilities. LBBC Technologies who export 70% of their work mainly to the USA, Russia and China carry out a high level of advanced engineering in the investment casting and pressure containment sectors.

Directors of LBBC Technologies, Howard and Robert Pickard were recently invited to attend a reception on the Northern Powerhouse initiative at No. 11 Downing Street.

2015 Aug – Baskerville Reactors and Autoclaves brand acquired by LBBC Group

The brand and product range of the company Baskerville Reactors and Autoclaves Ltd has been acquired by LBBC Group and will now trade under the division LBBC Baskerville.

The LBBC Group has been established for over 130 years working in the industrial engineering sector in particular specialising in industrial autoclaves. The group welcomed the opportunity to bring the Baskerville range of products within the group as it provides an excellent fit to their existing activities.

“It works really well for us to integrate the Baskerville product range into our existing activities as we have good mechanical and systems engineers familiar with this type of product as well as comprehensive project management and service support resources. Coupled with our long trading history in a global market and our financial stability, we are very excited about the prospects” commented MD Howard Pickard.
