The meeting was held as part of the initiative led by the Leeds Manufacturing Forum to improve the engagement of pupils in secondary schools. A number of SME members of the Forum attended to see how they can assist and offer ways that the pupils can get involved. The overall initiative is to work through the education system, apprenticeships and the forthcoming UTC to increase the number entering manufacturing in the Leeds area.
LBBC Technologies also provided a tour of the design and manufacturing facilities of their new £1.5m facility.
